I double-checked and there are no preview files in my badges folder, not any files exceeding 16 KB. I do, however, have over 1000 files (I think the app also extracted some of my vanilla Badge Arcade badges).

But to make a launcher badge, just add a title ID to the end of a badge image (Lenny.00021700.png for example).
