WebMar 14, 2014 · As far as the fog lights go, I have one of my lens smashed out completely and the other is severely cracked. I was told that the whole assembly has to be replaced not just the lens. The cost for the lights up here in Canada is $109.00 plus tax....not installed. I have ordered the Lamin-X covers. Worth a try I guess. WebJan 31, 2008 · the bulbs wont crack the lens. Its from a rock or something hitting it. It can also be caused from it being to tight and the preasure cracked it. the assembly is easy to take off just remove the bumper to make it even easier on yourself. WebNov 5, 2011 · That's one thing I hated about my Maxima was the low fog light glass would crack and eventually break. What I found out is most of the issue was caused by the heat from the halogen bulbs. The glass would heat up and if you got it wet it would eventually crack and lead to failure. I replaced the fog lights on my Maxima three times.
