WebNot true. It's just tricky. Build a 3x3 platform with at least one adjacent 'placeholder' tile. Put reflector in the middle. Then store the floor tiles and then snap the emitter into place. Once you see that is has lifted, delete the floor piece and try placing the beam emitter. Even with this method it took me a couple tries, but that's what worked for me. Hope you get results!
